Report on Visit to Mother Foundation (NGO)

Department of Lifelong Learning and Extension (DLLE) of our college had visited to Mother Foundation NGO at Malad, East on 27^th December, 2019 from 11.00 am to 1.00 pm for extension work with 2 Professors and 8 Student volunteers.

It is a charitable trust, helps to provide temporary arrangements for homeless people like women, children, and old folks of the streets of Mumbai. Shelter exists to provide street folks with safety and protection from the exposure of various risks like accident, human trafficking, child labour etc. Mother Foundation has different centers for Women and Children. We had visited Shelter for Homeless Children center at Malad, East where 43 street children were accommodated.

Our DLLE students had organize Poster Making Completion for these children and 2 Management Games on Patients and Speed. They had also awarded 1^st and 2^nd Prize winners of poster making competition with Medals and token of appreciation to management game winners. Students have also distributed free stationery and colors. The day turned out to be fruitful and happy. The head of the shelter home was overwhelmed by our presence and was happy to have us here.

Though the time spent with them was just a few hours, however, it taught us the lesson for a lifetime.
